A residence permit is issued for 12 or 18 months.
If the permit is valid for 12 months, it may be extended for an additional six months without leaving Croatia.
After maintaining the status for 18 months, a digital nomad must leave Croatia. A new residence permit may be obtained only after a six-month break. In this case, the applicant must collect a new set of documents and submit a fresh application at a consulate.
The residence permit may be revoked if a digital nomad leaves Croatia for more than 30 consecutive days or for more than 90 days within a 6-month period.
A digital nomad residence permit does not provide a pathway to permanent residence or Croatian citizenship.
